Since 2010, Triple Crown has called Central Washington "home" for the annual TCS NW Baseball Series Season Opener! Don't miss your own opportunity to participate in this early season tournament in dry weather conditions. Enjoy the mountain fields and sink your teeth into the "Apple Capital of the World!" Age groups 9u-14u will get the superior organization and communication of Triple Crown Sports (rain or shine) and invites to the World Series in Colorado (9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, and 14s) later this summer.

Event Details

triple crown baseball divisions:

Division 1: This is our most competitive division which may include "higher level" teams and is also open to any team that wants to compete.

Division 2: When you see Division 2 (or D2) after the age group that indicates a bracket designed for mid-level teams. Division 2 is similar to the second-tier divisions you see in national sanctioning organizations.

Here is how Triple Crown compares with other sanctioning bodies. However, we always encourage teams to play up. Division 1= Major or Upper AAA, Division 2= AAA or AA

*** Triple Crown will use pool play results to seed teams into separately awarded brackets based on total number of teams in the age group***

Pricing Information: entry fee includes:

1. 3-Game Guarantee
2. Gate Fees for all venues
3. One Dozen Baseballs (Check in with site director 1 hr prior to first game)

Equipment Required for Participants:

- Please make sure your online digital roster is COMPLETE by the Wednesday before the event.
- Each team must carry packet of birth certificates and proof of insurance throughout tournament.
- You need to provide two new baseballs and one used baseball at each plate meeting; you will get your baseballs back after the game.
- No metal spikes allowed on portable mounds (plastic molded, rubber cleats or tennis shoes please!)

Itinerary:

Check into your assigned field 1 hr prior to first game time, pick up baseballs and game card. Ask any rules questions to field supervisor.

Refund Policy

Act of God Refund Policy

If an event is lost due to weather or any Act of God (i.e. COVID-19), the entry fee will be refunded via check minus the 20% administration fee.

If one game is played you will receive 50% of entry fee. If two or more games are played there is no refund.



Will my team throw off of mounds?



Teams 10u and up will throw off a combination of portable mounds and dirt mounds. There are no metal spikes allowed on any portable mounds.

Does TCS provide baseballs?



Yes, we provide one dozen Baden balls to each team.

What is your refund policy?



A 20% non-refundable administration fee will be charged on all registrations. There are no refunds or transfers if brackets have been posted, your age division is sold out or if a team cancels 10 or fewer days prior to the start of the event.

Otherwise, if a team cancels 11 days or more prior to the event start date, they may transfer the registration to another Triple Crown Baseball headquartered event for full value or receive a refund via check minus the 20% administration fee.

If an age division does not make you will be entitled to a full refund.

What do the different divisions mean? D1, D2, D3?



Division 1: Our top competitive level, which you will see listed simply as 9u, 10u, and so on. This is our most competitive division which includes “Select / Elite” teams and is also open to any team that wants to compete.

Division 2: When you see Division 2 (or D2) after the age group, that indicates a bracket designed for teams that are not yet ready to compete with top teams. Division 2 is similar to the second-tier divisions you see in national sanctioning organizations. However, even if you are sanctioned as a lower team by a national sanctioning body, that does not guarantee you will play Division 2 with Triple Crown.

Division 3: Includes teams that are less competitive than Division 2 teams.Here is how Triple Crown compares with other sanctioning bodies. However, we always encourage teams to play up.

Division 1= Major or National
Division 2= AAA or American
Division 3= AA or Minor (Not offered in Colorado)

Does Being penciled in Guarantee a spot?



No, being penciled-in shows that your team is interested in attending. Only a paid registration in full guarantees your spot into the event. Triple Crown will attempt to reach out to teams as divisions are close to selling out but that does not always happen. It is the team’s responsibility to pay before the division is sold out

How do we complete the online digital roster?



Whomever has access to your team's Triple Crown Account can log in and click on the roster tab. Add all the players names and birthdates with the parent contact information (name, number and email). Once the roster is complete, click the “Send Parent Authorization” button and it will send out the digital waivers to the parents to sign allowing their son/daughter to participate in the event. Any player that does not have the parent waiver signed, will not be allowed to participate.
