Triple Crown Sports is excited to introduce the Nebraska Cornfield Classic, a brand-new fall baseball tradition in Nebraska. Whether you're looking to continue player development, compete against quality competition, or simply enjoy one more weekend on the diamond, the Cornfield Classic is the perfect way to compliment your fall season.
This inaugural event features Open Divisions, giving teams the opportunity to compete in a fun, competitive environment this fall. With a 3-Game Guarantee, every team receives meaningful competition while enjoying a well-organized tournament experience.
Note: Some age groups may be split into multiple divisions based on event registrations.
One of the biggest benefits of participating comes well beyond the fall season. The 2026 Triple Crown Nebraska State Tournament sold out well in advance, leaving many teams wishing they had secured their place earlier. Teams competing in the 2026 Nebraska Cornfield Classic will have the opportunity to guarantee their spot in the 2027 Triple Crown Nebraska State Tournament, giving them peace of mind and ensuring they're part of one of Nebraska's premier summer baseball events before registration fills. Teams will have the opportunity to lock in their spot during a defined time range to ensure they have the opportunity to compete next summer.
Join us this fall for great competition, great facilities, and the opportunity to become part of a new Nebraska baseball tradition. We look forward to welcoming teams to the inaugural Triple Crown Nebraska Cornfield Classic and can't wait to see you on the diamond!
3-Game Guarantee: 2 pool play games on Saturday into bracket play.
Note: Depending on the division size, it may be possible for a division to play 3 pool games rather than two and have teams advance to a single elimination bracket.
Teams may be divided into a Championship or Consolation bracket / games based on their seed.
Generally, if multiple brackets are used approximately 50% will go to the Championship Bracket - however, larger divisions may advance less than 50%
Divisions (D1/D2/D3) may be combined / split based on team registrations and overall tournament size.

Division 1: Our top competitive level, which you will see listed simply as 9u, 10u, and so on. This is our most competitive division which includes “Select / Elite” teams and is also open to any team that wants to compete.
Division 2: When you see Division 2 (or D2) after the age group, that indicates a bracket designed for teams that are not yet ready to compete with top teams. Division 2 is similar to the second-tier divisions you see in national sanctioning organizations. However, even if you are sanctioned as a lower team by a national sanctioning body, that does not guarantee you will play Division 2 with Triple Crown.
Division 3: Includes teams that are less competitive than Division 2 teams. Here is how Triple Crown compares with other sanctioning bodies. However, we always encourage teams to play up.
Division 1= Major or National
Division 2= AAA or American
Division 3= AA or Minor (Not offered at certain events)
No, being penciled-in shows that your team is interested in attending. Only a paid registration in full guarantees your spot into the event. Triple Crown will attempt to reach out to teams as divisions are close to selling out but that does not always happen. It is the team’s responsibility to pay before the division is sold out. In the event a division sells out, we will generally use the date a team pencils in to determine additional spots should additional space become available.
Whomever has access to your team's Triple Crown Account can log in and click on the roster tab. Add all the players names and birthdates with the parent contact information (name, number and email). Once the roster is complete, click the “Send Parent Authorization” button and it will send out the digital waivers to the parents to sign allowing their son/daughter to participate in the event. Any player that does not have the parent waiver signed, will not be allowed to participate.
Triple Crown does not have a State Qualification process. Teams are free to choose to play in tournaments they feel provide the best experience for their players and families and are not bound to a certain number of events to participate in the State Tournament. Triple Crown reserves the right to classify (D1/D2) a team that has not played during the season.
