Family: I am the youngest of three boys – my mom and dad had their hands full between shuffling us to all of the sports practices and repairing the drywall in the house. We grew up as a tight close family full of love and respect. The most important thing that my mom and dad taught me was the value of hard work and that people always remember the way you make them feel.
Sports background: We played sports constantly between Little League baseball, football, golf and hockey. We were first and foremost a hockey family; my oldest brother Lee played D-I hockey and ended up playing pro hockey for the Colorado Eagles for five years, and he led the way for us to follow. I learned how to ice skate when I was 2 years old and my hockey career took me all across North America and led me back to my hometown as a co-captain for the ACHA Division I Men's ice hockey team at Colorado State University for four seasons. I will always remember scoring the game-winning goal with 3 seconds left my freshman year against our archrival. Fortunately, we had a lot of good moments against them during my career! Hobbies: I love to spend time with my family and friends. I have a dog named Beth who is my pride and joy, and I enjoy traveling and experiencing other cultures around the world! Favorite trip: After graduating college I went on a six-month solo backpacking trip through Western Europe – it was one of the best experiences of my life and I have done several other trips since then. How did you learn about Triple Crown Sports?: Being originally from Fort Collins, I used to hit in the batting cage and play on the basketball court (now the shipping and receiving department). I have attended many events throughout the community put on by Triple Crown. What intrigues you the most about Triple Crown Sports?: The team and family-first atmosphere, being a part of the team to help make a difference for our company and sponsors and vendors – I am beyond excited to officially join the team! |
